I am having trouble accessing symbol libraries , particularly Hatches. Ive tried downloading them again from the generalcadd website but ut keeps kicking me over to the program download. have been out of the loop for awhile so any help and/ or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Michael_l,

As far as Hatches, they are built into GCP. Try typing HS for hatch settings, you will be directed to a menu, Type P for pattern. Lots of patterns will come up for you to view and select.

Michael,

Adding to Rusty's statement, Hatches are their own type of entity. They are not Symbols.

I went to HA, selected patterns and there is nothing there. Ive even went into the file folders under general cadd and the re is nothing in the Hatch directory. Thats when I tried to download Arch Library from the generalcadd website and kept getting back to the program download option. Any suggestions?

Ive even tried installing the trial version of pro 12 and now it is telling me I don't have administrator privileges- not true . I signed in when I start my computer.. I am using Parallels/ bootcamp on a Mac pro laptop which may be the problem

michael_l,

HA brings up Hatch Selection. Not what you want to pick a pattern.

Try typing HS this will brings up Hatch Settings, then you can select P for patterns.

michael_l ,

What Version of GCP are you using? You have to get your Hatches up and running, they are so important. At this point I do not know how to advise you any further other than possibly reloading GCP. There are GCP users out there way smarter then me on something like this that may come to your rescue on why your Hatches are not coming up. You may want to check your Hatch Path using the AQ command. My Hatch Path is set to C:\general cadd 12\hatch\

Good Luck,

Was this resolved (moved) under a new topic?

http://generalcadd.prophpbb.com/topic171.html#p947

Or does the OP still require assistance?
