macro problems with newest version

PostPosted by designguyrob » Mon Mar 21, 2016 9:05 pm

I recently jumped from version 6 up to version 11. I am having difficulty with my mnu program. None of my hatch routines will work now. I am also wondering how I can edit a mnu or create a new mnu as a text document and save it as a mnu. Does anyone have ideas for me?

Thanks, Rob

Hi, Rob.

In the Save As Dialog make sure that you change the Save as Type from *.TXT to All Files.
Then name the file ending with .MNU .

With the Hatches not working it could be a path problem.
If you do set a path from a Menu or Macro, make sure to use $GCPPATH instead of C:\GENERAL CADD 11\.

eg $GCPPATH\HATCH

This way it will handle any future uprade versions.

Vincent,

I was able to fix and improve my menus. Thanks for your suggestion. I tried the path $gcppath\hatch as you suggested in the all settings dialog under file paths, but it did not fix the issue. Here is a sample of my coding that works on previous version:

^^^GTILE,hs,P,BLOCWALL,S,8",R,0,C,12,LW,2,GC,++,BH;
^^^JFLAGSTONE,hs,P,CUTSTONE,S,3',R,0,C,12,LW,2,GC,++,BH;
^^^GROOFING,hs,P,ANSI38,S,24,R,135,C,8,LW,0,GC,++,BH;
^^^NSROOFING,HS,P,ANSI38,2,8,R,135,C,8,LW,0,GC,++,BH;
^^^CSIDING,hs,P,ANSI31,S,48,R,135,C,3,LW,2,GC,++,BH;

Any ideas? Rob

Rob,
Your code gets stuck in the HS command sequence.
Exit HS after Color with the Return symbol :
^^^CSIDING,hs,P,ANSI31,S,48,R,135,C,3,!,LW,2,GC,++,BH;
or just,
^^^CSIDING,hs,P,ANSI31,S,48,R,135,C,3,,LW,2,GC,++,BH;
