GW Cogo Window Size

PostPosted by ericdavispsm » Mon Nov 16, 2015 2:23 pm

Hello Matt,
I hope you are well! I have a quick question for you.
How do I get the GW cogo window to go back to it's default size? Some how I messed
it up so now I can't see the bottom row, and there is extra white space near the top.

Some kind of alignment problem?

Thanks,

Eric

Hold the shift key down when you type GW - see if that works

Hi Matt,

I tried that but it didn't work. Also, when I drag the window
away from the bottom edge (where it is docked) it snaps
back down instead of floating.

Any other ideas?

You might check your windows font size. Should be set to small.

Are you running Win 7 or 10?

I'm having no trouble resizing the GW window in Win10.
Could try RegEdit - delete key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\General CADD Application\GCP12\Environment\Dialog\COGOWindow

I'm running windows 8.

I deleted the registry key and still have the problem.

Like I said, it won't let me float the window anymore either, it just snaps back to the bottom.

AND

Just floating the cursor over the window gives it focus. It used to be I had to click it.

oh, wait, I guess it is supposed to focus the window when the cursor floats there...

Anyway, I still can't move the window, or get it aligned properly

Eric - big windstorm in Spokane. Been without power for 3+ days. Let's do a GTM Monday morning - I'll be up early. Hoping we'll have power by then. Email me.

Hey Matt, I hope you didn't get blown away!
I somehow resolved this problem...I launched Version 11 and it was fine.
Then I launched version 12 and guess what? It's back to normal.

I'm sure it wasn't a bug, just something I caused working with windows.

Thanks for your help.

I was having the same Window sizing problem but with the BQ command (Bearing Settings).

I used Matt's advice, (Hold the shift key down when you type BQ) This worked great and re-sized the BQ window properly.
